I spend a lot of time waiting for my life to be over. Well, not exactly OVER.
It’s just that after the party I’m going to begin meditating at least once a day . I’m too busy until then.
I’ll take a walk as soon as I meditate.
I’ll do my yoga after my walk.
I’ll write after my yoga.
I’ll clean out and organize my husband’s TV room as soon as I have posted.
Then I’ll weed the garden when the rain stops.
You get it, right?
“…how we spend our days is, of course, how we spend our lives.” Annie Dillard.
And I spend mine waiting? Okay. That’s enough. I’m changing.
Today I deadheaded those plants the first time I noticed them.
I picked up a few things and put them away as I passed through the room.
I did my stretches the minute my body needed them.
I’m writing now.
No more waiting, I’m living.
