Since I was old enough to have disagreed with my parents, I have believed.
My parents didn’t believe in celebrating a secular Christmas, let alone entertaining stories or myths about a jolly old man who came down the chimney, granting wishes for any and all. It was all deemed pagan.
Sigh…
All of this didn’t dampen my ardor for the holidays. I continue to bask in the joy of lights, songs, family and love. And I raised my children to believe in Santa Claus. When they were old enough to question who Santa really was, they were brought in on the secret.

Santa is anyone. Santa can be everyone. There is no limit to how many of you can be Santa.
Hooray for anyone and everyone who is loving enough to give a present in secret. Kudos to all who give without expecting to receive. A Shout Out for those great benefactors who are willing to donate
without getting credit for the gift.
Each one of us allows Santa to live on…and on…and on…
xxoo
And then there is also a Rudolph!! 😀 😀 😀 Merry merry Christmas to you and your family!

We have our own version of Santa. Ganesha. From childhood we are taught to love him and that love does not simply to away in adulthood despite knowing that He is a symbol and not a real figure from the past.

I have a small Ganesha that my daughter brought me from India. This seems a very healthy way to approach our symbols of goodness.
